Ginny is a Senior Lawyer who practices in employment law, industrial law, and discrimination law. Ginny has an impressive academic resume having obtained a Bachelor of Laws (honours) and the university’s Outstanding Academic Achievement Award two years running, a Master of Laws (Legal Practice) and a Certificate IV in both Training and Assessment and Work Health and Safety. Ginny is also on the Register of Practitioners to the High Court of Australia and holds a Legal Practising Certificate in Western Australia.
To complement her impressive list of qualifications, Ginny has had an extensive legal career in a number of Australian jurisdictions, having practised in the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia. Before deciding to focus her career on employment law, Ginny gained valuable experience in other legal areas including criminal law, civil law, governance law, and family law.
Ginny has also previously worked as a sessional academic at the University of Southern Queensland & QUT Keystones of Success, for the Attorney General’s Department in NT, as a generalist in-house lawyer and recently, a lawyer for a number of unions. During this varied career, Ginny has found passion in providing sound and practical advice, and keeping abreast of the ever-changing employment law landscape.
It is Ginny’s breadth of qualifications experience, as well as her detailed understanding of the nuances of the legal system in Western Australia that makes Ginny an asset to NECA Legal and its members.
